HAd this conversation at work the other day, and the problem is they are exactly the team they used to be. Everyone else seems to have stepped up a gear, but Man U haven't. Dunno why not, Giggs, Scholes, Butt, Neville are all old school Man U players and look how many are still there!

If there's no improvement soon, I reckon it'll be Ferguson's last season.

As much as he would like to go out on a high they wont win the league within the next couple of years and winning the Carling cup isnt exactly going out on a high so he should go before the team falls apart and the new owners kick him out as they wont care about the amount of time fergie has been at the club

our current team is fine apart from 2 players and thats the 2 center midfielders.. if your playing park and ronaldo and rooney all mixed in attacking and in midfield, swapping roles.. thats superb, but they suck ass at defending. Smith and Fletcher - Good players but not good enough. There would not be a problem if we had 2 world class cm's.. few years back we did.. Scholes on prime and Keane on prime.

agreed - don't think they will win anything, prob finish 4th or 5th - fergie will go, keano and van nisterooy will leave - club will get into even more debt

he was already told if he didnt win anything there was a strong chance he will be gone. Keano might aswel go as hes hardly any use on the field nowadays apart from his presence. Ruud will go if theirs no changes made to the team to make it stronger, but he still says his job at utd aint done yet.

I aint gonna put money on a finishing position but things change at christmas, january transfer market etc. I see us 2nd or 3rd as usual
