View Full Version : corsa c 1.2 16V "01" breaks upgrade

:banghead: after doing some of this for along time i have now found the bigger break up grade for my corsa c i have no abs and solids on the car

so talked to one of my mate and he found that if i get the calipers of an 01 ABS corsa i can would then be able to fit the vented disc and bigger pads

should set me back about £200

£120 for the calipers
£80 for the disc and pads

Just upgrade to Black diamoned performance discs and pads. I did this for under £150 and it greatly increased performance from the old stopping blocks. If interested just PM 2modified on here.

well if u upgrade the calipers then you could get the bigger blackdimoned discs on be stopping on a dime then

dont get blackdiamond discs, they have a tendancy to crack, get ebc turbo grooved discs.

just leave them cos unless ur gona do an engine conversion there is no point cos the are perfectly fine for the job!!!

solid discs are shocking, vented discs and matching calipers are soooooooooo much better.

dont get blackdiamond discs, they have a tendancy to crack, get ebc turbo grooved discs.

I have sold plenty of Black Diamonds and none have cracked

EBC are so bad we dont even sell them!

iv had my black diamonds n theres no cracks n there pretty class

just wanted the bigger pack cause its would be stopping alot better and its all ways nice when you are batting on coming up to a round about to know you have the breaks to stop you :thumbs:

Just to add martin is really right the solid discs are so crap vented are alot better

my oem discs are poo, so crap...was in a honda jazz and their brakes are so much better....dnt like fittin aftermark stuff no more, i have EBC greenstuff pads and they warped my OEM disks within weeks

Everytime I see a set of buggered discs the same story applies - 'I just changed them and a month later I'm trying to stop from warp factor 9 in 3 seconds, and they don't work no more'

NEW PADS AND DISCS NEED CLOSE TO 500 MILES BEFORE YOU STAMP ON THE PEDAL HARD AND WANT TO LIVE AFTER IT

Just to add I have Greenstuff V4 pads on original discs - pads have done close to 20k and the discs have done just over 30k. So if you look after something they will last
