Battery help

I am installing my amp.All i need 2 do is connect the power lead 2 the battery.if i unscrew the lead on the battery will the alarm go off i so can it b turned off and how

on most alarms is a function called valet mode enable this if not depends if your alarm has a backup battery if it hasnt it wont go off as its got no power??

take the negative off then instanly take the postive off and it should not sound the alarm
