what size are the vaux standard speakers in the back of my sri?? the ones either side of the parcel shelf, under the plastic grille thing??

the ones on the 1.2 sxi and 5.25 inches if that helps they are probably the same

Wrong! Guess again! lol! They are 5.25". I also found out the reason they vibrate so bad when you crank it up. When i took them out, i realised you dont need to buy speaker adaptors coz they are already mounted in them! BUT, the speakers aint held in with screws, they are just clipped into place. U will understand exactly what i am on about when u take them out. But hold the adaptor, grab the speaker by the magnet and twist and the speaker will pop out. You then have the adaptor to put your new 5.25" speakers! Just remeber to screw your new speakers into the adaptors :D
