Need some help please guys. Got in the car yesterday and turned the ignition on to find that the stereo seemed to be dead. The lights on the steering wheel controls were out aswell. After about 6 hours and numerous busted fingers, I managed to take the HU out and take a look. All leads seem fine and when I plugged the power lead back in it came up 'Safe' on the display as normal and I could here the cd whirring, but it refused to turn on. Anyone have any suggestions or has it passed away?

Cheers

if its coming up with safe then you need to inout your cd key, should have a card in your driver pack with radio details in. Hope that helps.

But it does sound a bit goosed tbh :(

Yeah thats the problem, although it says 'safe', it wont actually power up. Oh well, new one needed then :(

Yeah usually when it's in safe mode you hold down a certain button and turn the power on, to which it then says 'code' or whatever which Ive done before. But this time nothing happens at all. Very odd

turn ignition on, cd player will come on and say safe, turn cd player off.
hold AS and turn cd player on, keep holding as until it beeps, will say 10 code, enter your code and hold as until it beeps again, will now work.

Thats what I have tried mate, my point is that the actual CD player will not turn on at all. Its as if it has no power
