Can i hook this directly up to my standard vauxhall stereo? Picking my car up on Thursday, but I wanna order my sub/amp before so I can install it on the day when I pick my car up.

Any thoughts please let me know.

Thanks.

12" Sub on a 222w Amp????

Do more damage to the sub, it's not right these being matched

Should be atleast a 600w amp on that

I've a 10" sub on a 444w amp, and that don't run brilliant

But anyway, there should be a 'high input' on that amp to connect your rear speaker connections into - REMOVING the rear speakers (they cannot be run together. i.e. rear speakers only or sub only, not sub and speakers from the same wires - you will fry the headunit). There isn't a phono out on the back of the standard stereo

More subs are damaged by amps that are not up to the job than amps that are too powerfull ;)

its got a rms of 350w which is the true figures you should be lookin at, if that was 1200rms then i cant seem them being that price.

so they will match, otherwise why would a shop do it. just not exactly a reputable make.

If you get that package, they won't be able to supply the sony amp as they are having loads returned with defects. They can offer a kenwood (I think) or a unknown 1400w amp. I should know, I got it. Haven't fitted it yet so don't know if it'll work OK yet.

well you can do it but not an ideal situation,
need one of these http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_cleansweep_pages.php?page_id=79 or a alto mobile similar model.
