Just installed a pioneer hu into my 54 plate, however i can switch it on and off without the keys in the ignition, ive been told that there is a premanent live on the new models and need to route a wire to the ignition?? is this correct? any one else had the same problem?? cheers

54 model.... WAs this standard ISO Connections or did you wire in with a seperate live on the connector?

If Standard ISO then you will likely just have the ign and perm live's the wrong way round (or joined together)

I can see the red wire (power) that runs from the battery to the back of the connector, then theres two wires split from the hu (yellow and red) that run into that? tried changing them around but doesnt switch on then. im confussed!!
