hey guys

im going to get a boot install done by diddon and i have found 2 infinity subs that i will be putting in and i need to no what amp i would need to power these at a good level. i no nothing about ICE but some advice would be great as i would like to get an amp asap and if you could give me a link to 1 you recommend that would be better.

here is a link for the subs with all the spec to give you an idea.

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10151&storeId=10001&productId=208339&categoryId=33921&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=33921&crumb=31265-31371-33921&varient=&CarSelectorCatalogId=

or just go on www.halfords.com and then ICE and then subs and it is the 3rd sub.

cheers

they are very nice subs indeed and thats a good price as well in terms of an amp

they are single voice coil and 4 ohms

so you need an amp that is 2 ohm stable (wire the subs in parrallel) and can put out about 600W RMS

i use this amp it will do 800W at 2 ohms so it gives you head room so you are not maxing the amp out to drive the subs properly

This alpine one will also be very nice indeed

hmm funny link follow and click on mono amps and it the 4 th one down

it will only be fine if the subs you have bought are single voice coil and 4 ohms i would check this before you buy the amp!!

what ever u do dont buy from halfords. what a rip off. buy of the net if anything u would be able to get a sub twice as good for half the price. or back of max power. got my head unit from max power 4 £300 halfords wanted for the same 1 £599. stay clear. but if u have mega money go for it.

in my opinion the best amp to run this subs would be an Audison SRX2s, or if you can afford the cost the Audison LRX2.500. both amps are high end, and are much better than the alpine and kenwood.
