depends if your car has the new multiplex wiring or the old standard!
if u have the old standard then u have to try nd squeeze thru a rubber grommet behind the glove box, quite fiddly nd painful 2 do as it requires a lot of strength some times!
if u have multiplex wiring then it is quite a bit easier! u will find u need a lot more tools for the job as it requires u to drill thru the plastic box by the battery and feed the wire down through, where it comes out behind the glovebox, u will also need to have some silicon sealent or sometin else that is waterproof and block the gaps around the wire up! believe me they leak like a b*tch afta u drill them and cover your carpet in water! insulation tape just won't fix this problem!
hope this helps u!

Cheers guys, I needed to drill thru the ECU box......New problem......Got it all wired up but nothings coming out the sub, Wired the remote lead to the 12v socket, run the RCA cable down driver side, Power cable down passenger side, Cables from the amp to the sub, Earthed it all ok....Amp has pwer light on it but no sound???? Really dont have a clue whats up!!

Anyone have any ideas why no sound? :dontknow:
If i take out both RCA cables from the headunit end and touch one together the sub makes like "DOOFF" sound.......So somethings getting through!!!

When we did YPC_Jon's install I actually phoned Daz at one point to ask where the 'effing grommett hole was for routing cables in a C. Couldn't do what Daz had explained (my notes were probably not legible!) so in the end we routed the powercable into the wing (if you look at pic below you can see (if u use your imagination!) at what point we entered the wing.

and then the cable was put though a spare 'hole and grommet' on the inside of the door. and into the car through the hole where the main cable goes for the elec windows etc etc on the door. (ain't I crap at explaining things!!! haha). Anyway. It worked a treat. I don't think Jon's had any issues with the cabling to date.

All pics of his install etc are in here... and that reminds me. I must finish off the tutorial for it!

Did the Amp come with a Bass Controller?

or

The one above doesn't have the standard RJ11 (think it's RJ11) connector like this

One of the installs I did we could not get the amp to work at all until a Bass Level controller was plugged into the Amp?

Sorted it!! you have to adjust the Level control on the Amp to the Headunit, My old Alpine unit was so much esier to setup!! Its sounding ok.

Purecarsound - Is that th 12" Fusion Bass kit in the pic?? Thas what i got set up.
I wired mine a little different - I took out the battery, took off the plastic ECU cover, ( was a BITCH to unscrew ) theres a gap that goes into the car, made a hole in the side next to the battery and poked it thru then sealed it, By the way does attaching an amp and sub void the car warrenty??:? ......only had the car 2 weeks!

Chees 4 the help guys!!
