View Full Version : Where to buy new bump strips.....

Is it me or can you buy pre-coloured bump strips for the side of your car? I am contemplating 'Diddon-ing' my Silver SRi and want something to break up the huge expanse of silver that will result if I remove my existing ones.

yes you can buy them mate from vauxhall, already primed they sell them individually so thats 4 to you and me, each is about £25 so your looking at £100 for pre primed new bump strips and thats not even painted yet!!, i am also contemplating getting my corsa fully colour coded like diddons.

i have forked out £100 for the facelift strips for my corsa c, and i got my mate to spray them star silver!

£25 each sounds steep. All they are is aluminium reinforced rubber.

The bodyshop carged me £20 a side for colour coded bump strips. He took the old ones off, but as they were reinforced with aluminium they couldnt be put back on. So he ordered up some new ones and sprayed and fitted them. Not a bad deal.

I also thought that the old ones could be taken off and sprayed, apparently not. Thats me had them done for a year now and the paint is still perfect.

mines were taken off sprayed then refitted vauxhall really dont have a clue do they

^^ Your right mate Vauxhall talk bulllSh*t - they tried to tell me i couldnt get a surround for the HU to match in the right silver..... I then got on the net round the code and rang them up, ordered it and WAY HAY right one :roll:

i think most of you will find that its not actually vauxhall your dealing with, its just the vauxhall dealers, who are all init for themselves.

saw it no mate im prob goin to get a jc one but im runnin out of cash at the moment and still to get my tints and exhaust and bumper fixed before trax cheers anyway though
