View Full Version : Lowering 40mm With Apex Kit on 17's ET50
Will i have any problems when i lower my car?
17" compomotive mo's with 205-40 rubber and an offset of et50
everyone says between 40-49 so should 50 be ok with a drop of 40mm
Cheers Sam

it wud be the caliper would it not as the lower offset u go the further out it iso further up i.e et 50 the closer to the brakes it will bes iirc not sure tho. think there is a thread about offsets see that :dontknow:
with et50 if it does rub its most likely to be on the inside side of the arch and/or maybe the front springs. Spacers!!!

yes forgot about the calipers too, good chance that the inside of the spokes would clip the calipers
ive got the wheels on the car now and they catch on full lock at the front so i guess when its lowered i wont get full lock
you've always got the luxury of being able to use spacers, you could go as far as 10mm if u wanted!!
will spacers be ok with the standard wheel nuts or do i need longer ones?
longer, don't cost that much though
Coolio cheers mate guess i'll buy some 5mm spacers and longer wheel bolts before i drop it to the garage tommorow
hopefully if all goes to plans i'll have some pictures to show tommorow
got them on and all is good
