Faulty HU?? :(

Hi, ive had my Alpine 9828rb (i think) for about a year now and when i go over a big bump it turns off :(, it comes back on again after another bump or if i hit my centre console but this hurts my hand lol.

any ideas or should i get it checked out somewhere?

just sounds like a loose wire to me :/ do you meant the unit loses power or the cd just goes off? my kenwood h.u used to skip then not pull back out of the skip if i hit a hard enough bump, no problems with my newer pioneer though

sorry the whole unit goes off, i pulled over and turend ignition off the first time it happened but it didnt come back on, thanks for quick reply

Loose connection or dry joint on a component. Pull it out, remove and refit power connectors etc and give that a try. If it's the same take it back or contact Alpine direct.
