Sponge - Same as what I use to wash car (well same stylie but a diff sponge :| :P )

Polish - Occasionally, only when I get em off car

For Extra cleanage - Autoglym wheel cleaner stuff.

Also for the inside of wheel when off car (seen as it aint a nice polished up surface) to get rid of 16k of brakedust used a slightly abrassive sponge...

im the same been doing it for ages, shiny as anything see my face in it, i think its safe enough used to use wash and wax stuff, but it would not foam up well on the sponge

i'll be honest i wash the car almost everyday, not using washing up liquid but cleaning the alloys and wipeing down the paintwork, now and then will wax it, not really the weather, i hate it when its dirty

(me got meself redundancy on the way ) :)

all you should use is hot water and decent sponge, if your crying about baked on brake dust then your not cleaning them enough if there ****ty take the time to clean them quick even if you dont do the car to. Autoglym is a no no i got my alloys from merseyspeed they say hot water and sponge and ive had em over 9 months and they look great with no cleaner or soap.

autosmart ali shine best thing i have every used.

i spray with steam cleaner, then ali shine leave for a min spray off then the tfr wash that off ali shine use the auto glym brush to move the dirt then wash clean.

Then roll the car back half a wheel revolution and start again for the bit that was at the top of the wheel!!! :( i hate cleaning the wheels!!!
