My exhaust is reeeeeeeeeeally dirty, what do you guys use to clean yours? I tried just the simple car shampoo but it didn't make any difference... What works best?

Try a bit of turtle wax bug and tar remover, then to give it a nice shine get some Mer on it. All can be bought from halfords
while were on the subject, my stainless steel exhaust seems to be goin yellow-ish on the top of the tail pipe, i tried cleanin it, it shines like normal but its just got that yellow colour to it, the kind of colour you get with ppl that smoke and they stain the furniture etc, lol! i think its the exhaust fumes or something, any idea how to get that silverness back?

get autosol, its a tube of paste, in a black and gold box, its just an abrasive polishing paste for metals, does exhausts great, good for alloy aerials too!

i just used soapy water and elbow grease until my arm siezed up..seemed to work
I use Alloy Wheel cleaner on mine to keep the soot away.
Then a good wash and finally a good polish to make it shine!
Try brasso about £2 from a supermarket

Daz, here it is!
http://shop.carnoisseur.com/shop/products/CarCare/CleanPolish/2631085000/viewProduct^^ Thanks mate - are they reliable??
I got a shop here in Blyth mate. Easy to get to, as it's only 2 mins away. If you can get it there, you should in theory be able to get it anywhere that keeps the AutoGlym range of products.
