I just got my new sxi and noticed my rear view looked like this:

Is this an anti-dazzle rear view (automatically dims), and if not why does it look like its got something speical about it!? Most rear views are just plain plastic on the back, that looks like its got electrics to it haha!
I couldn't find anything about extra's or specs in my manuals/doc's that i got with the car.
cheers

Yes mine has this too might just contain the mechanism (spelling?) for diping the rear view mirror.
i'll be gutted now if it isn't special, if it's not special they shouldn't make it look special!
same as mineand mine...
Defo nothing special about it
nope look suspiciously like a normal mirror to me...
Tis a standard one. It has the bulge to accomodate the manual tilt mechanism.
If it was auto, why has it got a manual lever?
The auto ones have a little photocell on them to detect the light levels. This aint one of those!
Yer manual dim, not automatic. You have to move the little lever at the bottom to dim it.
Dont EVER need to dim it anyways - the tints block out enough light :D

True mate. Dont think I have ever used my dimmer lever on my mirror!
its often usefull for a view of what is sitting on your back seat.... oh wait have i turned into "G4 the ladies man"
