Macca
07-12-2005, 08:56
the 2 red tops are leaisure batterys, running the install.

MarkyG
07-12-2005, 14:43
what's the deal with extra batteries? do the amps effectively draw from the two batteries in the boot and the alternator just top em off when you don't run your system?

when i only had 1 sub n it ran off the normal battery the lights will flash n dim when it was on loudish

so the 2 batterys power the install n the car battery does it own thing

i dont really know much about the set up of it all i just got told itll work better with them in

fil_b
07-12-2005, 15:16

doin a big install in mine just keeping the back seats (my gf enjoys them!) ditchin the parcel shelf so it looks biger back there havin a component system on the sides above the boot (on top of where the stock speakers are situated) and it will all be fibreglassed and painted to look smooth and curvy!
anyone know where i can get vauxhall ultra blue paint in a spray can? looked in the local shops nd they don't have it!

looks good and should sound it too. But why have you gone for Red Tops????

http://www.optimabatteries.com/publish/optima/americas0/en/config/product_info/automotive/starter.html

you need a deep cycle battery not one that has a high CCA

karl-cdti90ps
09-12-2005, 08:02
That looks mint but what happens when you gotta take more than 1 person out in your car? It looks good but is it practical ? Answer: OF COURSE it is!!!! hehehe

Keep looking and you will also read on that chart that its a good starting battery. Yeah they are great for the first few seconds but they are in a split charge circuit so they will have a constant load on them.
