Just wondering peoples opinions on they are rolling into the same boat united have, relying highly on their first team 11 and forgetting a few core players are running on old legs... pires, freddie, bergkamp, sol not at best, cole when is he gonna be back?, viera gone..... will henry stay? if they win nothing, and if barce are really interested as i recon they will have the champions league this season and their own league.
as much as i hate the gooners i really hope this aint happening, as when they are hot.. they are **** hot and a pleasure to watch, van persie was a great buy so i hope wenger gets a few more of them, young with great potential

one man is to blame for arsenal's demise and that is arsene wenger. the guy has lost the plot instead on concentrating on bloody mourhino maybe if he put more into buying some players we would be up there

wenger if u ask me has it sorted. henry is only captain coz he needs to sign his contract. he knows who he has to buy, he also knows he has a strong, STRONG youth setup. strongest in the country by far. chelsea have **** all youth, man utd have the odd few. from what iv seen neways but then again man utds recent youngters like fletcher and chadwick have been gash
but wenger just lost 2 key players, edu and vieira, so nobody cud of expected arsenal to challenge for anything until hes at least got something good in
fabregas will be class, but u can never replace vieira or henry, u just need to find something that can do the job, might be one player, might be 2
van persie is the bergkamp mould if he keeps his head right like
i dont get y ferguson and wenger like their **** keepers though, van der sar is the only half decent keeper fergusons signed since hes lost schmeichel, and if i were wenger mart poom would be my number 1 coz almunia and lehmann are proper gash
newcastle followed by chelsea have the best goalkeepers and goalkeeping cover

yup arsenal have a strong youth setup, but nothing that can fill the gap of pires, ljunberg, cambell, cole, viera, bergkamp or henry if he goes.
hleb looked naff last night, had a few ideas but nothing spectacular of the standard of a decent arsenal player.
man united setup is looking good, very good with the young players, its a young squad and confidence is rising by the game, and with that.. the results. odd players need replacing but sorted so far if you ask me, if we have problems and arsenal are 11 points behind us, 20 behind chelsea, then i dont see how they are sorted?
VDS is a class keeper, matches newcastle anyway, cudicini is in the same league as VDS and cech might be edging it as he has the best defence in the premiership.
van der sar matchED given or whoever btu hes not amongst the best in the prem anymore, hes still a good keeper for sure but id rather have harper, given, cudicini, cech or robinson over him, or even kirkland if u can keep him fit. hes good, but past his best by a mile, was when he came to england to start with, and if he wasnt then he was never as good as i thought
nah, vds is still at his best and playing some of his best football in his career at united, its coming to us that its brought that out of him and kept him going. given and the likes are all top keepers but by so far this season i see no reason why vds isnt up there with the rest of them
actually i just checked the opta stats for the season so far, sorenson is marked as number 1 keeper, 2 - given, 3 - vds. and his saves to shots ratio is bigger than both of theres
sorenson - 73%
given - 75%
vds - 77%
... so he aint doing bad after all for a geezer past his game
i did say hes a good keeper i just dont think hes as good as the 4 i named. if given is the number 2 with the defence he has in front of him that says it all, coz villa and man utds defences are miles better than ours. theres no touching given. hes the best in the world by a country mile. and imo ur overrating vds. hes good and in the top 10 but not the top 5
villas defence is better than yours? have you even see them play, there about 15th 16th in the league or something.... and the save/ratio is from the amount of shots which is about equal so that dont work.
You would say given is best keeper in the premiership as hes your keeper, and im not overrating vds when his appearences is doing all the talking, he is an awesome keeper and id rather him then given in my squad, he aint the best.
our "defence" as in goals conceded isn't the worst because of given. i seriousley think u must only of ever watched a man utd keeper in action and compared to that, whoich is kinda weird coz schmeichel is one of the greatest keepers ever (and oh look im saying that but he never played for newcastle :roll:) but compared to him none of ur keepers are anything

ur talking so much ****, u really are, saying given aint the best or one of the best, and saying van der sar is better. why are so many peoplesinging givens praises? im not even saying van der sar is bad, iv said before hes very good but hes just not one of the best and iv even heard man utd fans admit hes the best uv had since schmeichel but hes still not the best u cud of had. awesome he is certainlyt not. i swear man utd fans talk so much **** and are stupidly biased coz they're in denial. and ont all, but 90%, like u. for ****s sake open ur eyes and realise vds aint the best in the league, that comment annoys me
and opta stats are **** all aswell, coz shots can be tricklers from 100yards out, or they can be belters for 6 yards out, savescan be picking a loose ball up or a world class stop. i know sorensen lets in some right soft as **** goals

Ok rewind, when did I say newcastles defence is the worse because of given? its given that makes your defence good!
Schmeichel is one of the greatest keepers of all time, thats pure common sence and so is given and so is vds, they are all fantastic keepers.
Ok so now my opinion is **** because i dont agree Given is the best keeper in the world? sorry but we all have opinions, i think he is a very good keeper but i am very happy with vds being in the united goal and id rather have him than given, thats just my own opinion now deal with it, sorry i aint bum rushing given like everyone else does but there is always someone better in every position (i am not saying its gospel that vds is better, i just wouldnt replace him with given)
Are you blind? when trying to throw a decent reply, least get your facts straight, i never put down vds is the best keeper in the premiership and i am not a typical united fan if you had read half my posts when speaking of my team, this is merely about vds and because i aint agreeing with you that given is the best, i have slated my team and praised them, i aint sat here like you saying i have the best center forward, best keeper in the world, best right back, best left midfielder wales ever seen and all this crap with all your gospel facts.
now chill out, im sorry i dont think what everything you say about football is correct, thats because quite frankly it isnt and we all have opinions.
Given is the top keeper in the premiership in my mind.
Sorenson pulls off some wonderful saves. Villas defence is one of best in premiership, but attacking is so **** thats why we are so poor.
Dont think he is top in premiership, pretty even across a few keepers. Recon hes best in the world?
I dont really rate sorenson at all, an alright keeper, nothing solid.
Oh yeah and who is scott parker gonna replace in the england 11?
Scott Parker aint gonna replace no one, good but not as good as Gerrard and Lampard, although they cant play togehter.
Given is one of top keepers in the world I think. Defo top in Premiership imo.
Dont have much time to post, but Given is deffinately not best keeper in the world, he comes close but he just doesn't compete with the likes of cech or Buffon plus others.
Altho Tom Seaman Deffinately > Shcemichael or however you spell it 8-)
Cech wouldnt be all that without the defence. Buffon aint all that.
cech pulls off fantastic performances that why cudicini is on the bench. There isnt a number 1 premiership keeper, many at the same level but not a clear winner

only read the first line of ur reply...our defence isn't the worst....BECAUSE of given. if we had van der sar in, our defence, ie goals concdeded would be easily the worst. my point was exactly THAT - given makes our defence look good.

Scott parker will not make the slightest of difference in midfield defensively in comparison to gerrard.. when against teams like brazil, they will just go straight through you and thats why you reply with the same and go straight for them.

gerrard isnt even a defensive midfielder - which gerrard r u thinking of? its no secret that the best teams in the world have a qualitybsitting midfielder and scott parker is the man todo it for england. plus the fact....englands defence isnt strong enough to go all out attack against most the teams in the competition, if we had a full fit woodgate to partner terry we'd probably have a chance

parker may do a job for newcastle in that position at prem leval but doing it at international level is totally different he is not a world class player and never will be. he may deserve a place in englands 20 odd man squad but in there starting 11 never
and given as one of best keepers in the world he is consistant but no way near the best
parker is EASILY international standard. look at the players hes kicked out of games - are they not worthy of the place in their international teams then? when hes played for england in the past hes been top quality aswell
anybody who says given isnt one of the best if not the best in the world seriousley needs to just think before they speak coz that is a disgraceful comment. mourinho was singing his praises the other week, wenger last season said theres nobody better at the moment, all the managers in the league are saying they'd love to have him. consistency is one factor at being the best. but the level he consistently stays it is miles above anybody else
im a goalkeeper but iv played outfield before and i know that goalkeeping is a much more demanding position and given makes it look piss easy
and maybes u r the ones being biased here coz im first to admit a newcastle players is **** ,and first to praise them FAIRLY, which this is
