yes - solano was lucky not to be caught handballing on the line. however, he kept his arms by his side, had he lifted them to get thme out the way, same situation would occur, so he cudnt win either way on that one, and got lucky

however. mark halsey - what a ****ing disgraceful disgraceful DISGRACEFUL bit of refereeing in the 2nd half.

lee bowyers tackle was barely a ****ing booking, never mind a straight red. thyat was ****ing laughable, and a complete joke.

what followed - crouch throwing lee bowyer over - that IS a straight red on any day. dont bother mentioning shearer throwing lauren over against arsenal the other week coz all he did was wrestle him off. crouch belted over and shoved lee bowyer over. raised arms, blatenet shove, off the ball - sdtraight red.

then...steven gerrard. shoving shearer twice, raising his arms at newcastle player,s grabbing people, attempting to throw punches. not even a talking to.

referee bottled it big time, in front of the home rans, their hero, their centre forward, what a ****ing joke. both should have been sent straight off, how gerrard can try to fight with a crowd of toon players and not even get a talknig to is a joke, especially after boweyer getting sent off for a slightly late but non-vicious tackle, he was going for the ball

his heel SLIGHTLY caught whichever tart it was that certainly did all he cud to get him in the book. u can get belted full pelt with shinpads on and not feel a thing

also...the substitute who did the worst dive i have ever seen in my life in a blatent attempt to cheat and con the ref and not evne get booked. is the ref pissed from xmas drinks or something?

i dont blame the referee for the defeat at all. i do think he was disgraceful on those decisions though. bowyers incident coming just as we were getting into the game

also, im fed up of www.nufc.com and their anti-bowyer talk all the time, hes a bloody good player and was probably our best player on the day, followed by luque. we were still ****ing poor

agree 100%, and it seems that Bowyer + reputation = red card
we didn't deserve to win but the referee has screwed us AGAIN!!!!!!!

just read on skysports souness thinks bowyer deserved it. well thats typical souness, i really wonder whether he actually has a clue these days. he obv wants rid of bowyer coz bowyer wants to play in london again. why not just get behind bowyer whilst hes here. he was our best player on the day except for given, not the first time thats happened AND he was played out of position, i would of loved to see bowyer vs gerrard, just a shame we had no parker. parker and bowyer in the middle would have made a huge difference

but after every defeat souness comes out with something that baffles. he knows his time is up he just rubs salt into our wounds after defeats now

i really sympatyhise with lee bowyer these days coz hes often one of our best players, especially when played in position

Its bolloxs, I didnt watch the full match yesterday but saw the highlights on MOTD and Newcastle were never a threat, I agree the sending off was poor but that didnt lose you the game did it??? It was already lost, I think its time Souness left. He simply cant cut it at the sharp end of the league, I dont think he is the worse manager in the league but he just cant take newcastle to the top 4 which is where they belong

We werent saying the referee lost us the game, people were stating they were against us in the decisions that were made,

Gerrard and Crouch going in with arms up etc and not a thing said, yet when Bowyer made a tackle, where nothing was wrong with it, and he was sent off? :s

exactly. i never said owt bout the ref costing us the game at all, was a coincidence that the 5mins before bowyers sending off we had controlled though. the only 5mins in the game we looked like scoring (when boumsong actually defended somthing well...shearer's shot :|)

i could give u an endless list of examples where the referee costs us points or a game. i said to my gf the day before the game "the referee will make a terrible decision against us that would potentially swing the game against us, u'll c " oh look...

hes just lucky it wud never have an effect on the game. would have been interesting to c us with 11 men vs liverpool minus gerrard and crouch though...like it SHOULD have been and nobody can deny that
