I'm looking for a spoiler for not too much money (if there is such a thing!). What does everyone have fitted to their motors, where did they get it and what did it cost? Pics would also be very nice! :)

I love the one Si has on his but I think £200 notes + paint is a little much for me! I like the discrete SRi jobbie but I don't fancy paying £307 inc. fitting ( :o ) that they quote on the Vx website!

I can get it painted at work and fit it myself so that's no problem but I want (need!) a reasonable priced spoiler.

Also, I understand their are problems with some spoilers and the washer jet? I would need to keep this working.

Cheers.

The irmscher one has no problems with the washer jet (unless your removing one) and is a stick on, not bolt on type, so that's easy too

I got a new washer jet with my JC Design spoiler to fix onto my corsa to replace the inbuilt one on the sxi spoiler. It is the same washer jet you can get from vauxhall thats standard on corsa c's with no sxi spoiler. Works fine.

Yeah, I really like this one, I think I'll go for it.

Do you think it would look OK on a standard car along with some 17s?

Darren
04-04-2004, 11:44
MM - personally i like to kit the car all in one go....

IE... all front at same time - then all back at same time etc....

HOWEVER no many people can afford to do that...

If you can afford to get a rear extention at the same time then i would :D

Hi does anyone have a cheap sri spoiler in red or black i want to replace the poor excuse of a spoiler that comes with the sxi. It would be even better if it was somewhere near southamptoin so i could colect it.

Ive got the rally style spoiler on my C. I like it. Easy enough to fit urself as well!

Mine sits ontop of the original SRI/SXI spoiler. Just had to drill through the existing bolts. I had this colour coded too. It makes the spoiler sit a bit higher and i think it looks smarter.

Cost - £75
Spraying - Both spoilers £50 (Mates rates)
Fitting - Free, DIY job

Where did you get it from mate? and is it supposed to fit ontop of the original spoiler?

What did you mean by you drilled through the existing bolts?

So many questions!!

Darren

JC design spoiler is defo the nicest for the C, but its so expensive.

I got it from XS motorsport, not sure if they do mail order. giv em a call www.xsmotorsport.co.uk

Hav u got an SXI? it fits staight on the sxi/sri without any drilling. U'll notice that ther are allready holes drilled for the plastic spoiler that is there. For a direct fit all u do is take off the sxi spoiler off and fitthe new one. It comes with a fully comprehensive fitting kit and instructions.

i just took off the orginal spoiler, drilled thru it then fitted the new one on top, easy.

Yep, I really like the JC Design one but I really can't justify the price (to the wife! :( ) so I'm going for the Rally one at the end of the month. I'm already in the doghouse for the wheels and grille! :D Worth it though! :D

That's excellent mate, it's what I've been wanting to hear! Cheers!

I do think it looks better with the SXi spoiler left on, and it seems fairly straight forward to do. It saves farting about with the washer jet as well.
