View Full Version : Securing boot build down?

Hey,

over the weekend I just made up a little build in my boot, nothing special just a raised floor with my amps on and a cut out where my sub box is. It's all carpeted and looks pretty good - I mean it's basic, but thats all I want at the minute.

Anyway, at the moment it is just placed in the boot with the amps attached to it, sub box in, etc, but its not attached down to anything. It is just a piece of MDF supported on pine strips (the legs) and currently resting on the boot carpet. It moves a little if you mess about with it where there are slight gaps round the edges but not much at all really.

BUT, how can I attach it down to the boot? How has anyone else done it? I was thinking of using velcro on the bottom of the legs to hold it down to the boot carpet - would this suffice?

Sorry about the long post but any help is appreciated :) Oh, and also I dont have any pics atm but I will get some up soon.

Cheers! ;)

velcro might work, depends where ur legs are, if ur legs are near an edge that ucan drill into, drill some wodd into the edge, then legs into the wood?

screw all the wood together and then wedge leftover felt into the gaps to keep it all tight. its also cheeper to go to fabric world to get the felt...
