Hey,
I currently am running the full stock set-up in my corsa; Blaupunkt CD deck and 6-speaker stereo.
I have purchased 2 x 12" Pioneer subs and a 4-channel amp aswell as all the wires etc needed for the install.
One thing i was told that I need to get, is the 'convertor' to change the speaker wire into pre-outs. I was told at the local stero store though, that if I was too fit this convertor to the speaker wire then I would have to d/connect either the front or rear speakers?
The reason for d/connecting them is because it may put too much load onto the deck? I was planning on just tapping into the rear speaker wires by splicing into them, and running it straight off of there. Then if i run them off the rears i wont need to take the deck out either.
Also will the treble and bass features on my deck control the subs if i run the convertor off the rear speakers and will that be a problem?
Please help...
Thanks
