Right i have tried searching for ages but cant find it anywhere, i have got a sony headunit bit old but i like it CDX-CA850 it only runs of the remote control as no buttons on the unit.
I have had it for bout a year now and gettin fed up with nearly losing control and wanna know if can get a adaptor to get my steering controls back.
Any help would be good, cos some of the threads about this are well confusing

I thought it was only on 05 plate onwards that the connection changed but maybe im wrong, its right pain in the ars* cos cant even lower the volume on the unit so always need the remote in ya hand, plus the buttons dont work that easily, surely there must be one around somewhere its nearly two years old now

yeah the iso connector which goes into the back of the headunit. if its the old type not the new mini type ,like on bmws, then you can probably get everuthing you ned from halfrods.

Dont suppose u can find the adaptor on autoleads or somewhere jus so i know rough price etc, and will u be on ere during day 2mo to look at the iso, or got any pics of what im lookin for or descriptions, if that makes sense lol
Check the back of the HU. If it has the jack plug connector for the Sony Joystick control then you can get an adapter. No joystick plug, no controls.

Will i easily be able to recognise this jack plug connector on the back? Will it have it written on the unit next to it or is it easier to post pics, and do u know the adaptor i do need if it has got one, cheers kash

Yeah, the jack plug is just like a headphone jack on the back. It may even be blue in colour.
