Just got back from the boro nuneaton game and it was one of the best games i ever been too, the teams performance wasnt that good but overall it was brilliant.
I think the general boro supporters and club have been on a downer after the 7-0 defeat against arsenal which any club would be, and before anybody starts slagging the boro off (sicky), i will admit that the club is going through a rough patch at the minute with maclaren getting stick and the crowds dwindling, but tonight the ticket prices dropped so we got 25000 in and another 5000 nuneaton supporters made it a really good atmosphere, singing and chanting all through the game, we took the lead 5-0 obviously everyone was loving it chanting "we want 7" and the nuneaton supporters chanting "tiery henry", but both crowds got on really well.
Im sat bang in the middle of the north stand (where the crowds are) and in the second half we had the nuneaton keeper nearest to us, everyone in the north stand and east and west stand corners was singing to this keeper:
"you fat bastrd", "give us a wave", "whats the score", "fatty 4 england", "fatty for boro", "swap him for swachzer" and "sign on"
and the guy played along with it the whole time waving and patting his belly and playing along with the crowd, it was quality, then when nuneaton scored every in the ground (both teams) gave a standing inavation and again for the second goal, and clapped and cheered for the rest of the game.
Was a brilliant game, throughly enjoyed it.
