Hiyahh! :D

I canny sleep! So i thought id post whats on my mind :P

Thing is.... my car has lots of wee scratches! Nothing too major... just done by cats i assume!

My car is black saphire :D None of the scratches are very deep... but can defo notice them :(

What would you lot say is the best to treat this kinda thing?! I know meguires is being loved atm.... but is there something more specific i can get as a black paint treatment or something?

Anyways... thanks all! :D

Craig!! :P

Meguiars 3 stage. Step 1 = Paint cleaner/treatment (Should get rid of little scratches)

OR

there's a metallic t-cut I think that's designed to do the same thing (nromal t-cut is a bit abrasive in my opinion)

OR

maybe Scratch X?

think i have tcut somewhere.... not sure if its metallic tho :|

guess it doenst need to be a 'black' treatment as such... just a general treatment thing?

Hey mate

yeah those ****ing cats are a pain in the arse.. I have a 55 reg black saphire and Ive noticed 3 scratches on ma bonnet which I am assuming is a cat as it looks as though its tried to get up onto it at the front. They must go for black cars or summit cos it happened to ma mates black corsa too...

its a pain in the **** :|

mines appear to be towards the rear of the car... up near the brake lights, i had a feeling it was them going for the stanard aerial!

ooo nice tip R14lST, how long does that kinda thing last?!

lasts as long as u get new scratches to replace old ones.
it just softens the paint and fills in scratches like tcut i think

send it to be valeted and ask them to mop it i.e. cut the polish off and re apply it it will come back like brand new and you wont even have to get your hands dirty!! :D

I have so many of thoes scrtaches. Next doors cat sits in my bonnet and I'm sure it then slides down it with its nails out. So now i just get the BB gun out. Even though it was resprayed 3months ago you cant tell the difference.

Yes, I'd say normal T-Cut is too abrasive...

Had it repaired and the rest of the car orbital polished with 3M finesse at the same time...

The Mer Scratch Repair kit is really good for these. ITs about £30 but u get the scratch repair paste, a polishing pad for a drill, wet n dry paper etc...works a treat.

go to any car cleaning place and they will mop it for you between £35 and £65 depending on what you have done!! I was quoted 65 for a full valet and to mop the whole car! which i didnt think was that bad!
