As the title says; Who do you think is the best keeper in the premiership ?

It has got be Mr Given, He does an amazing job with those 2 donkeys playing in front of him. I would imagine on paper Cech is the best but he was a brick wall in front of him which makes life easier
why isnt david james on the list
because hes a calamity....although of late hes getting better!

christ how can u possibly say van der sar. :| it's blatently given. no i'm not biased, but he IS the best in the world. just because he plays for the team i support doesn't mean i can't say hes the best when he is - so dont even bother trying to argue it.
i think 2nd best is between cech and robinson, thing is cech has such a good defence in front of him but sometimes his technique SUCKS, and robinson never leaves his 6yard box he's too fat lol
it's blatently given. no i'm not biased, but he IS the best in the world.

name a better keeper
kahn, buffon, cech, cudicini, dida, elia, valdes, cassilias, niemi, klos? etc .. dont see how given beats all of them, and he doesnt.
cudicini - nowhere near as good as given, neither is niemi
the rest - very good goalkeepers but nowhere near as reliable as given or as techincally perfect as given. everything given does is with stunning technique. they will all have their days when they pull off world class saves but half of them cant catch the ball, half of them can't face one v ones, and the mot overlooked thing for a goalkeeper is consistency and reliability and given has both of those
they're just simply not as good as given. some of them are a lot bigger which helps them, but given is a much more effective goalkeeper than any of them
i'd love ot see given play behind a world class defence, since it'll never happen at newcastle, i hope i never do lol

if given were the one, then real would be knocking at the door to replace casillias, or chelsea would be to replace cech, or Osasuna to replace elia

rooney is one of the best young talents in the world if not the best, why aren't real trying to sign him?

cassillas is good enough for real madrid, they dont need given. all those clubs have awesome goalkeepers and dont need given, why go out ur way to get better when u have whats good enough?

and cech makes some pretty awesome saves but sometimes looks so awkward, but he never has much to do anyways
given is the best in the world, but i never said there were miles of difference between them.

Schmeichel was the man, he had some pretty nifty goals in the premiership aswel lol that one he scored for villa, the volley from the corner was ****ing mint.

given is the most consistent keeper makin him the best in the world imo
schmeichel is an all time great he changed goalkeeping completely, techniques changed because of him. also evne though seaman was ****e in his last few years he was an awesome goalkeeper in his time

I have no idea what united fans you have been talking to? and all this coming from a newcastle fan who just happens to think given is the best keeper in the world and scott parker should replace gerrard or lampard in the england squad.... that says it all.
