View Full Version : 195/45 17 tyres
Basically - what is the difference between 195/45 17 tyres and 205/40 17 tyres? :dontknow:
I think they are slightly wider (205) but the hight slightly slimmer (40) and the diameter is the same (17)

205 or 195 is the tread width so 205 is wider
45 or 40 is the ratio of the tyre height to the width (i think??) so 40 will be lower profile than 45

Keith dont do it :| your tyres look euro esque enough on your wheels enough
wasn't sure whether 195 tyres would be smaller therefore making it sit and bit lower and the tyres to appear smaller?

not at 45's they would look thicker, but will slant more, which is a look I really dont like (and people will constantly be telling you you have a flat :P  )
Can U Get A 195 In A 17" Isnt It Something To Do With The With Of The Alloy Like
