I'm not in Australia, i just wondered, do you have many Opel Bariva's over there? is there a big modifying scene?
because you could set up www.opel-bariva (http://www.opel-bariva) or whatever, and make as much money as these guys do :lol

well its sold as a Holden Barina, the corsa B and C were sold as Barinas and now have been replaced by the dawoo Kalos.
We do have our wed site www.Opelaus.com
but moding of a car this size gets a few laughts from ppls over here. The most common car is called a Holden Commodor It is sold in V6 and V8 size engins.
Plus parts for the corsa are exspensive in commparason as they have to come from europe and the Uk as such are not readly available.

Yeh very few people do up cars such as the Barina and Astra in Australia, due to the fact that we've been brought up with big V6 and V8 engines and rear wheel drive cars such as the Holden Commodore like BarinaSXIpurthOZ said. Also most parts are made in Australia so is a lot cheaper to maintain and modify a Holden Commodore compared to German Opel parts for a Barina, Astra or Vectra.

hey i just moved to wales from ausd and the ppl here just dont understand the size and power of aussie cars and how great v6 and v8 r. i came over to this contry not nowing bout this countrys cripling insurance prices and have ended up with a 1.2 l engine. i used to drive a 2.0 galant in aus and even that was regarded as quite small there. used to pay $400 insurance for that and now i pay £700 for a smaller car. as soon as i can im moving back home to aus and getting a decent sized engine again its just gay here. who agrees

yeah it was such a nice car i loved it. i couldnt belive how bad it was here until i got here i went out looking a subies and that kinda thing when i got here and then when i was told bout insurace i nearly cried lol. and now im stuck with a 1.2l engine i buy bottles of coke that are bigger. if that was in aus it would be laughed of the street and kicked in as soon as it got on the road the smallest that ne one would want back there is about a 1.6.

I don't know who's got the last laugh really.
I remember 2 years ago wen i purchased my car, everybody was like "eww, it's a small car"
But times have changed. I wouldn't go near a v6 engine even if u paid me. I can't afford the astronomical petrol prices.
we have a v6 Holden Commodore (vt), and that drinks twice as much petrol and does the same amount of Km's.
There's nothing wrong with the "holden barina/corsa"
except it's uncommon around here.
people prefer the japanese cars ...
