Having a bit of trouble with my amp and sub - done a search and found that people getting buzzing interference noises. My noise is a loud bassy popping noise from the sub. it seems to do it after i have used something electric - like the windows. dont get the accelerator noises that some people experience though.
I have wired the remote wire and power wire down the passenger side, and the L&R audio cable down the drivers side.
Any ideas? it is driving me crazy. i have a 04 reg 1.4 sxi if that helps at all.
look at your earth. look at you connections.
when a sub pops, it usually means it has a bad earth.

bolt that holds the backseats in
My earth terminal, the bolt wouldnt fit through it from the back seats.
yep the bracket for the backseats is always a good place, or bolted into the wheel well
in my first instal, i just pulled some trim out of the way in the rear boot, the bit where you unclip to se the rear wheel. i just sanded down one of these holes and used here.

If you get a "pop" when you turn off the stereo, it can be fixed by fitting a diode between the remote lead and the amp, and also a capacitor between the remote and live terminals - this will solve the problem!

i thought i new it all
what do you mean, put a capaciter between remote and live? The remote doesnt go to a live... It's from the headunit, witch is a switched live :look:
please explain, i love learning :D
