my head unit (pioneer) lights up and plays, but no sound is coming out the speakers, no sound whatsoever. It was working fine the other day, but this morn there was no sound.

ive got an amp and sub in the boot.

any ideas?

cud it be the fuse from the amp? if so, where can i get one from?

thanks in advance

explain more:

are ALL your speakers running off of external amps?

is your sub working?

do you have speakers running off of the headunit, are these working?

Does CD,tuner and AUX have no sound.

it wont be the fuse in the amp that will only affect the sub

check connections on the back of the HU

tale you HU out, check the plug/ISO jobby round the back.

How did you swap the red+yellow wires when you installed it? did u move any other wires? Have you tried fiddeling with all the settings?

right ive changed the fuse on the amp, and still no joy. the power light on the amp is still red (it shud be green) and the light for the fuse isnt on either.

ive checked the wiring to the amp and its all fine, then it runs under the carpet on both sides, and runs to the dash, i dont know much about installs, so how do i check if the wiring is hooked up to the HU ok? after i take the face off the HU, do i take the back plating off to check the wiring?

red light = protection mode
it is powered and remote must be working

check that you dont have any wires touching each other, check all connections are secure

otherwise you need to log onto:

the far right is the fuse which ive changed already with no joy. next from the right is the +12 volt connection, in the middle is the remote connection and the right is the earth.

now for some reason when i unscrew the gold screws and move the remote connection about the sound starts working, but if i leave it or screw it back in tightly, the sound goes off.

when i do move the remote connection lead about the power light on the amp goes from red (protection) to green (powered).

dont house your amp on the side... it becomes prone to overheating and things going wrong.
