whats a decent set of door speakers? im not looking to spend much but whilst fitting my new door handles thought i may as well get some. what size do i need as well?
You can get 13cm or 17cm
I belive you will need adapters for the 17cm availble from your local freindly halfrauds

ive got infinity 6x9's in at the moment anyway but the headunit is too powerful for them
6x9s are crap anyway, ud be better off with coaxials, ive got the 13cm reference coaxes in the back of mine n i get a really good sound from em

if you want some decent front components you simply get what you pay for
brands like rainbow, CDT etc are expensive but sound really good.
i think in terms of sound quality and not mega expensive then some infinities are a good choice the reference ones.
but if you can afford a more expensive set and amp them properley then it will be well worth it!!!
i doubt your headunit is to powerful for the 6x9s its infact the other way around more likely the headunits internal amp cant give them a clean unclipped signal at high levels and thats why they are knackered, i did a set of alpine ones the same way a few years ago
i just got some rainbow 265 kicks running off a genesis profile 2 and they sound sweet in my opinion and when i give my system a bit of a spanking they seem to handle it fine without distortion/crap sq:mrgreen:
