Morning all,

I'm gonna be installing my audio this weekend.

However I'm worried that im gonna need another battery.

This is my equipment list below.

Head Unit - http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/4289.html
Comps - http://www.alphacaraudio.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31_68&products_id=1173
Comp Amp - Phonocar 2 Channel 2x90wrms @ 4 ohms
Sub - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2962
Amp - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4132

I will be using 0awg cabling and the sub is rated at 600 w rms @ 2 ohms, altho my amp can ive it 1100 w rms @ 2 ohms (i will be keeping the gains down low)

Please help will i need a battery??????

the alternator is onlt 4 or 8 gauge so 0 is going to be a bit pointless, 2 at the most, may be woth doing a split charge but im not 100% if your need it or not.

Would it be worth upgrading the big 3 at the same time?

yeah will make a huge difference

So i wont need a battery, just upgrade the big three.

Will i have enough cabling with an 0awg kit to do that and the rest of the install do you think?

if you still after a battery I recommed top yellow battery, some say the red tops are more powerful, but goona need a much bigger alternator i think.

my install has a top yellow battery D75. Meant to get a D34/35 much to heavy for the boot.

Optima offers two basic battery types: Optima starter type batteries (red tops), and Optima dual-purpose deep cycle/starter batteries (yellow tops). The Optima starter type batteries are superior replacement units for your car, truck, boat, or other vehicle. Optima deep cycle/starter batteries serve dual purposes: They function very well as starter batteries, but they also are designed to withstand repeated deep discharging (down to a charge level of 10.5 volts) without having their life span shortened. This ability makes them especially useful when electrical loads exceed recharge rate (including times when the battery cannot be recharged at all, such as for marine trolling motors, or for running car audio equipment with your engine turned off.) Optima deep cycle batteries are very popular for marine trolling motors, winches, special lighting, portable power, and emergency backup systems of all types. If you need high performance power for car audio, the best battery for you is one or more of the largest Optima deep cycle/starter batteries you can fit in.
