You have to take it out the gearbox but can leave it on the hub

yes, you can buy the split gaiters which you glue together but i wouldnt waste my time or money on them, they dont last

Yes it is possible you can but universal gaiters that stretch over cv joints but need to take one side out of gearbox or hub to be able to stretch the gaiter over cv joint and the above is made up iv never heard of anything as daft in my life lol

Ok I stand corrected lol but complete waste of money lol I used stretch gaiters wen I worked in garage n seem best option :)

If them glued gaiters work wouldn't u just glue ur split one lol

yeah you could if you think about it, but if its split then its technically deteriorated, so its bound to split somewhere else

If you get a new one cut it in half make sure the cut is dead straight, then rough up with sandpaper and glue back together. Can be done on axle stands as well.
