View Full Version : Cleaning black plastic trim!
What do people use to clean the black plastic trim around the arches and on front and rear bumpers?
I have been using Back to Black and it's not that good, it's also messy and a c*nt to remove from bodywork so I need a new, decent product!!!!!!!!!! :x :x

yeah back to black is messy as hell, i put a post up in the help bit ages ago try searching i remember some people came up with loads of stuff but i use
i have stopped with back to black goes all uneven! messy black finger nails for days, i use some of that simoniz back to black shine just spray it on, goes super super shiny and blacks up the plastic really well, then i go round day after with an old towel because all the dust sticks to it, and looks super super clean!
like brand spanking new, i would only use black to black every 9 months or so
i've just gone through 2 cans of the above stuff, love it!! and its doesn't get on the paint work either, i have even used it to shine the tyres
don't get the cheap stuff, carplan or something its called total shoot!!

if its fade heat it up with a heat gun, let it cool down then use back to black and it will look brand new

i'll have to try some of these as i think a decent black trim looks better on my car than a colour code with it being red. Only trouble is keeping it a deep black. looks stunning when it is though, lush contrasts

I use Merguirs Trim Detailer at the minute but i'm going back to Autoglym because the Merguirs stuff is horrible on paint and skin.

Although saying that, alot of Meguiars stuff smell so lush compared to Autoglym,
the Soft wash gel smells just like battenburg
