interior plastic spraying

Ok, im sure this has been covered a lot of times, but I cant find exactly what Im looking for. Is the process of spraying the interior plastic bits the same as in the tutorial for spraying actual exterior metal parts?

If not, can anyone do a tutorial on how to do it?

Mate, just remove the parts you want to paint, get some wet/dry sand paper, wet it and sand back the plastic surface. Once sanded make sure there is no dust or anything on the surface then prime it with a spray on plastic primer, spray on a couple of coats of that and allow to dry. Then sand again, followed buy another coat of primer. Then spray it what ever colour you want, using auto enamel paint, do 2 or 3 thin even coats of that, allow to dry and there youhave it.

then lacquer like fook? and does enamel paint come in a spraycan too?

Just get the Auto paint from your local auto shop, best stuff for the job. You can laquer if you want, just depends on whether you're after a high gloss finish or not. :thumbs:

i got standard grey primer, paint and laquer from halfords for a tenner and it looks mint :thumbs:

Make sure next time you prep and prime them mate.:thumbs: You'll find the paint will start to flake off.

the colour i was wanting to do it, was apple kandy red, can you get specialist colours like that in a can?

Go to your Local Auto Shop, I know my local car shop sold every car make and model paint, £5! What make Kandy Red? I.E Vauxhall, Ford etc.

House of Kolor Apple Kandy Red - same colour as car is getting sprayed in June.

halfords is gonna get me everything i need - candy red in a can, over silver in a can - as close as i can get.
