Q. on dash spray

i have done a search but cant find wat i am looking for so now its time to ask. i have recently started to spray my dash and have finished one part. got my few layers on lacqour on and its looking pretty good n shinny. anyway im following step by step instructions to do this and next it tells me to go over my lacqour with wet n dry 1200, water and washing up liquid. then polsih it up with tcut colour restorer. did everything sand there lacqour down ??? thanks Ash

i jus left mine after i put the laquer on cause it looked quite gd n i didn't wana f*ck it up :lol:

i just sprayed my laquer on, didnt bother doing any sandin at all and it looks cool.

i have a matt finish though.

i wudnt sand the laquer down, jus give it a quck poilish. more chance u will mess it up if u sand again i think

i wonder why it says to to that then. dont think 1200 will take too much off especailly wid soap

I didnt sand my laquer down and mine shines like hell when we get a bit of sun (which is rare :( )

yeah id sand it down. quite often you have to take 1 step back to go 2 steps forward. If you get what I mean.

hmmmm maybe it looked better before i finally went over wid wet n dry. althought it is very smooth. mite do it all again n get it perfect
