Hi, this amp arrived now i need to know what the "ohms" mean,

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/1532.html

It does 1ohm @ 1500watt
2 ohm @ 1000watt
4ohm @ 500watt RMS.

The subs im getting are RE Audio SE's which are rated 600watt RMS (4ohm) and I want 2.

Therefore the amp would only be able to provide 250watt to each sub am I correct? Or can I set the subs to 2ohm so they can have 500watt each?

Thanks

coz the coils will be 4 ohm duals you can bridge them down to produce a 1 ohm load hense 1.5kw

coz the coils will be 4 ohm duals you can bridge them down to produce a 1 ohm load hense 1.5kwSo effectivly I can run them RE SE subs at 1ohm and the amp at 1ohm with 1.5kw sending 750watt RMS to each sub correct?

wire them like :

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard/2_4ohmDVC_1ohm.gif

this will place a 1ohm load on the amplifier, and each sub will recieve just under 750wrms.

dont forget to keep the gains down a tad :)

i really wouldnt have got two SE's though :P

James SRi and I said this befire... the RE XXX- only because you can get a better amp in a few years, and wont have to change the sub as it will last longer than your car :)

are you talking about these subs

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2964

Cos they are 2ohm and 1000watt RMS so my amp wouldnt be able to push them enough
