I was looking thru this site and this ones on special offer and it says "Steering Wheel Remote Ready" what does that mean ?

Also says "The Alpine CDE-9850Ri does not have CD Changer Control"

What does that mean ?

also when it says cd reciever and has no cd slot on the facia does that mean its only a control front and needs a cd changer ? or does the front tilt and the cd pops in behind it ?

like this one http://www.alphacaraudio.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=114_158&products_id=2723

and this http://www.alphacaraudio.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=114_158&products_id=2712

well the head unit will tilt open to reveal the cd slot.

the steering wheel remote will require another adaptor

and i assume if it says it will not control a CD changer means that it is not compatable with the alpine changer, but it dores have the ipod full speed control which is really good.

oyeah right i get it now thanks lol

Are the ones that tilt open to be avoided.Im just trying to think in a pratical way and that idea just sounds like its something that could break and expensive to fix ?

its an alpine HU mate... do NOT worry about quality problems :P (everyone'll back me up on that - except Deano...)

if the thing opens and closes its self nothing can go wrong, as thats what is as built to do... If you are opening and slamming it your self while driving- this could break it :)

everything has a years warranty anyway

Yeah martin is right, I thought i had a problem with mine, rang alpine up, and the guy said that he has never had one cut out from turning it up too much, so i took the car to VX and it was a blown fuse in the engine bay that wasnt the right fuse in the first place! Trust me, if you buy one, it wont be going back, they have the strictest quality control going.
Im very happy with mine

can the alpine models with the tilt function for loading a cd have the facia removed for security ? I checked the alpine site but it doesn't say there.
