cutting doorcard for speakers ?

Has anyone done this with pics of it in progress or even a pic of the final article ? :)
I mean cut the grille where the midbass sits so the speakers on show with the grille supplied with the speakers fitted ?

I looked at doing this with my 17cm but they seemed too big to do this as the grille area is molded out from the rest of the doorcard and wouldn't sit right so i was too scared to cut it lol.

I mean just to fit the speaker in the normal way but to just change the grille for the one supplied with speakers

Mine fit nicely behind the existing grills (stealthy) and didnt touch the window with help of adaptors. And they sound awesome too ! (alpine type r comonents 17cm) :D

is that dynamate sheet cut in the middle to allow the speaker thru or is it bent round it ?
