rite i wanna buy sum alpine comps and an amp aint wanna go mad so prob type s. how do i go about fitting these and amping them im gonna cut my grills an screw them into doorcards like everyone else. PS I need an idiots guide

if you dont re-enforce your doorcard they will sound ****e.

Okay well let me think... the doorcards are made out of what, 1 or 2mm plastic, and it bends if u press it hard, now do u honestly think that isnt gonna vibrate like hell when u put volume through em. Im not chattin crap at all, im just saying u you will need an MDF ring or something like that behind it to get a clean sound

there wood be an conversion kit behind it obviously read the thread guy clearly states they dont rattle an ive hear at least 3 lol i love this site

feederfans only giving advice mate :)

Could you not have the speaker installed in the normal way but still cut the grille out and fit the grille supplied with the speakers.that way its only the metal grille on the doorcard ?

lol ive explained this in bout 1000 threads lol i do had a modded c before my cupra my dad sold his car so he said if i share the cupra wit him hed get me another c so he did an im moddin again :)

just to let everyone know when i had my corsa i had to cut the grills to fit the Type-R's as i had no time to make MDF rings and was also worried it would sound ****e due to the doorcards flexing but did it anyways! My plan was if i wasnt happy with the sound i would just fibre glass the door but it actually sounded good! The plastic isnt as week as everyone thinks!

p.s the Type-R's are currently for sale as they dont fit my new car! tweeters are brand new!;)
