free upgrade to the 9853R from caraudiosecurity!!

i had on order an alpine 9851r but they have discontinued it apprently, so the company are going to upgrade me to the 9853R with the glidetouch

does anyone have this headunit ( i am going to be using ipod ) or one with glidetouch,

if so do you find the glidetouch easy to use? and is it easy to use with the ipod searching etc?

and i honestly cant tell you how happy I am with it, its an absaloutly fantastic headunit. But to make sure u make the most of it, read the manual!
And glidetouch works well, once your used to it you can find songs really easily, but if your using it while moving make sure u make playlists of ur most listened to stuff, as searching through 500 artists while trying to drive is a little distracting

is it like a chromey effect on the headunit? or is it grey, i cant tel, in some pics it looks grey, others chromey, which is yours mate?

also, do you have to use the headunit to change track or can you still use the ipod like to scroll through songs?!

Its a shiny dark chrome effect.
And its a black fascia adaptor sprayed with Rover Gunmetal Grey spray from halfords, it was too much of a ballache trying to find a match for my dash!
