if u get some componants they will be higher quality than your standard speakers and providing you get a good make should be a lot beter sound quality,

try these: http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/1555.html

these are the ones iv got atm and they are a gud set for a start

The crossovers split the frequencies, bass to the woofer, treble to the tweeter in laymans terms!

So basically a component speaker is everythin rold into one and the cross over controls it.

haha eye a bit of queen every now and then is a good thing, dont worry mate i like everything including dance, rnb, rap, rock, punk, metal, etc, I found they were alright for bass wen I first got them, but then I got a cheap sub and amp package and all together it sounds realy gud, plus I didnt have to breaky mt bank balence to do it

No component speakers are going to be massively bassy, as McCoy said, if you get a sub you dont have to worry about that! I managed to get my sub, amp, box, and wiring for £90 with a bit of help from friends who were getting rid of old gear!
Id recommend infinities as a good solution, ive got the 13cm 5010CS in mine, very easy to fit and an amazingly clear, crisp sound!
