does this have to do done, if so how do you do it? i would do it on the aftermarket wires that are connnected to the back of my alpine headunit, or will it work without switching them

if you don't swap the wires you will lose all of your stord radio stations (if your listning to a cd the the place u stoped at would be lost). the reason u swap them is so there is always a current running from the battry to the head unit.

do you have extra wires on your alpine? it may require a direct feed from the batt..

if you have loose red and yellow wires on the alpine lead you will need to fix these together and then wire them to the batt, fused about 15-20amp

this works the internal MOFSET alpine amplifiers, and will also make the HU work when the car is off, even if ignition live is off..

that info is in the beginers ICE section too :P

as for how to do it, that is in the beginer ICE questions too

either cut, and then crimp. or pull the wires out of the plastic block and swap them around...

the beginer ICE questions also tells you how to keep your date on the MFD
