thats an awesome finish but you got to be carefull with them proper mops and compound u use with them cos if you hold them in one place to long without wetting it constantly it can go through to the primer very easily

to get a finish like that depends on allsorts of stuff really, not just on expensive products. As long as u have a decent machine (powerful), the right compound etc and the technique you should be able to produce those results yourself. Just gotta be careful on edges though as you can easily rub the paint off :P

your right mate what i have heard is the secret to it is to keep the mop wet so the compound doesnt burn the paint

i just read that the porter cable doesnt heat the paintup at all compared 2 other machines - the reason y its better than the rest an is more expencive i think

depends really, if you use too much compound it splats all over the place. the secret really is to keep the manchine moving all the time so that it aint in one place for any space of time, just keep it moving and keep re-covering your tracks until its all equal. do it "a panel at a time" ;)

depends really mate, halfords ones are ok for occasional use, i'd get an industrial one if you can, around £75 i think they are. last for ages and powerful

think its defo real, look at his final pic, there is a very small trace of that scratch but who cares, its saved u hundreds of pounds coz otherwise u would have to have the whole rear quarter painted

Bloody hell! I could do with having that done as I have a scratch a similar size to that but half as bad in terms of the paint it's taken off! Miracles! :o

Anyone know anywhere that will do that and rough cost as I don't want to do it myself!

lol i thought that at first, but i think hes done it by a wall with a grey gravel finish on it which makes it look abit weird lol.

ace result though
