This has probably been posted before but couldnt get any search results. Anyway cleaning the car today and used turtlewax wheel spray on the alloys, worked well but after it drying there is like this rusty kind of dried water that stays on the disc brake surface, was there when i recently got the car also, its not rust just rust coloured water. Anyone kno how to get rid as spraying cleaning fluids on the disc cant be good for breaking or the disc brake pads, water doesnt seem to do the job :(

Don't worry about it. Perfectly normal I would have thought and will come off when you've used the brakes.

go out n drive wit the brakes on a wee bit not too much n not for too long or you will cook them but this will take any crap of the discs.

The discs rust up pretty quickly on all cars. by the time you have driven out your street, round the block and back again it will have gone ;)

yer thought as much but was slightly concerned that it would eventually get worse n rust over more each time :)

they always turn a nasty looking colour when your cleaning the car

just go out and brake normally and it will go just like that!
