Hi there everyone.

I am not too pleased. I had lots of things planned for my corsa today and i have managed to do 2 things. I de-badged it no worries, then had lots of difficulty puttin an irmy gear knob on but at least i have done that now.

Anyway, the other things planned were put SRi door sill protectors which 1 is bent so have got to take them back. Next, Irmy door pins, tried to fit them but they aren't tightening on the rod at all as if they aren't going down far enough and then to make matters worse one of the grub screws fell out an is lost in the grass so i av got to find somewhere that does them before i can fit them. Finally tried to put my sony cd player in but my fascia has broke so it doesnt fit in right and i dont see how the standard cables from the HU match up to the sony cables, i had the sony in my 52 reg corsa no worries but now in my 05 reg SRi it doesnt match up.

Can anyone give me advice on door pins and cd player please.

Thanx!

James.

irmy pins are a bitch to do, but you have to push them on really hard, but not so much that you lock the door. trust me it can be done!

The vauxhall fascia comes with a loom adapter anyway so get down to your local stealers parts dept and order one up.

as for the pins, you are gonna have fun finding a grub screw. take em back and say it was missing when you got them and you want it replaced. A lot quicker and easier tbh.

Hello,

I had trouble with my pins but they are easy in the end, hope this helps, I drew some nice pics to explain but then I found out I can't do attachments!

Remove original red gripper by using a small flat head screwdriver pushed in at the corners.

Next, slide the new Irmy pins onto the Door thread (thread should be up, i.e. doors open). If you are lucky then the irmy pin will slide right on and is locked in place with screw

However, some irmy pins have flakes of the metal protruding from where they drilled the screw hole (b). This will prevent the pin sliding down the thread. Using the screwdriver (or drill bit, or nail) rub it inside the thread hole c until it smooth. Blowing down the screw hole can help to shift these flakes. Job done.
