I am currently pricing up an install for my Corsa Exclusiv and i have a few questions.

1) Now i have chosen a new head unit (Alpine 9812RB) but have read on here that i will need to put a direct feed to the battery for this headunit and also earth it, but then some people have said i dont need to and they have it without direct feed? Is this somthin that has to be done? Preferably i dont want to do that if possible.

2) I need to buy the new facia adaptor to replace the standard cd30 head unit currently in, and also do i need to buy a wiring loom adaptor to plug the alpine unit into the current iso? Could somebody point me in the right direction of where to buy these from please, i have seen some on vauxhall/halfords but then i've read comments that i need a newer loom adaptor as my car is 05 reg.

3) I think i am going to have a crack at a fibre glass install in my boot, maybe creating two stealth fibre glass box's for two 12" infinity subs, i already have the infinity kappa 6x9 693.71 speakers and i want to run all this of one amp, would a 6 channel infinity amp be a good idea to get if i maybe want to add some rear components in the future?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :p

1) No u dont, just swap the red and yellow wires around
2) Loom adaptors and fascia plates are available from vauxhall
3) Dont bother with the 6x9s and run your front components off the 6 channel amp.

Wicked, im probably going to order the head unit this weekend then, while the threads still open can you give your opinion on whether or not this lot will work or would i need a more powerful amp?:

Well this thread:

http://corsa-c.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=25536&highlight=cda-9812rb

talks about feeding a wire direct to the battery, but as 'feederfan' says you can just swap the red and yellow wires around?

the yellow wire in the ISO block is a direct feed to the battery - 14.4V live i believe, and the red is a ignition live, the wires r just different colours on the unit.
Some older cars only have ignition lives though which isnt enough to power newer headunits so they require a direct battery feed. nothing to worry about with the C tho

nah, its not powerful enough, nowhere near. U need at least 200WRMS for each sub and 100W RMS for front splits

i dont think so i think u need to buy the alpine stalk?? i think thats what it is, but u can add that in later, usin the headunit controls aint too bad.
