Fibreglass speaker pods

Hi,

started buildin a new shelf with some fibreglass speaker pods in for my 6x9s, I found some off cuts of some acoustic carpet from my install in my old car and was just wonderin if this would be ok to stretch over and paint with fibre glass resin instead of buyin some other material.

shood do the job may need to use more resin due to thinkness
