hey i didn't make the film m8 (blame oliver stone for that, no need to shout abuse at me remember no one is forcing you to watch)
just wondering what people thourghts were after viewing the trailer, this is obvoiusly going to be a hard topic.
my only hope for this movie that any profit goes to the victims of this atrocity

It seems we found BBM's thoughts quite quickly.
Personally I want to see it. I want to know more about it rather than ignore it, but that's my opinion. It has the approval of many suffering relatives still alive and it's something that you will want to see or avoid like the plaque. I really don't see views being other than black or white on this, although I may be proved wrong.

after what Ka$h said about the families being on board i checked out www.imdb.com (http://www.imdb.com) and apparently all the leading characters in this film are based on the real life counter part, and they themselves helped write the script (i guess giving their personal accounts of the day)

I wanna c this,cos we shudnt be appauled by it,but we shud celebrate the courage of all those who attended the scene...and especially of those emergency service men who died tryin to save as many ppl as possible....it was a terrible event,i think we can all agree on that...but we shudnt forget about it. N as it has the full support of relatives of those who died and its based on fact,its gonna b no worse dan watchin it on the news when it happened or on TV documentorys!

That wud explain it,i'll have to w8 till im @ home...works pc is crap!
it is sick, someones just thought, right, dont have any proper ideas, but this will probably sell a few million for being "controversial".
when i think about it, i don't see how making the film can benefit anyone to be honest. it'd be fine if all profits were going to some cause, but if not it is still someone else profiting off the disaster itself, which in my eyes is wrong
i see sickys point about it not benefiting anyone, if anything, i think its 10 years too early 2bh.
Looks fookin good in High Def though...

You didn't have to watch it mate. It's clear from the title what it actually is and only you seem to have a problem with it, so calm down. To be perfectly honest this is one atroscity you are aware of because it has impacted the Western world, there are far worse tragedies that have occured but you are not aware of.
As for me I think the controversy will either make or break the film amongst the US crowd at least anyway but throughout the world I think it'll be a 'success'. Problem is if it falsifies the story and puts an unreal amount of heroism and appears to be too much of an American patriotism film! :thumbs:

not to sure on this, does it show the courage etc or will this just show how successful the attack was and be used as a recruitment agent for more people to do similar actions. just when america are starting to accept they cant invade everywhere i think there is a possibility this will ignite old pain in americans.

That looks like a proper sad film. Every time I see stuff about 9/11 I feel all sick inside, and if I see this film I will probably cry. Although it does a look a good and moving film
