pur 17ich wheels on my sri corsa c been on there for 3-4 months on the front which needed 5mm spaces and lst nite my wheel came flying off looked at the nut and the threads had stripped rite off, talking to my mate he said u should have to used longer nuts becouse of the spaces couldnt believe it happed not much damage tho need a new plastic stip around the arch and a new thing which the nuts go into to any boby know what are they and how much they are

You need to use longer bolts when fitting 17's anyway, my alloys even came with them. So no wonder you wheel came off!

The recommendation is longer nuts with all alloy wheels over steel ones, regardless of diameter!

With spacers, yes, it is necessary for longer bolts again ;)

poohing myself now, is it ok to use standard sri nuts with 17's?? I have the 16" sri alloys before the 17's??? cheers

thats wot i used the nuts for my sri alloys 16ich lasted a few months
