Explosion at ICI Billingham [Archive]

Anyone hear or see anything. Heard a really loud roar, like an airplane going overhead. Apparently it was seen and heard for miles. Happened at about 12:30.
Makes you realise how close we are and what could happen :cry:

my hubby was driving past, about a mile away with 20 tonne of highly flamable liquid nos in his tanker when it happened.
When my bro came and saidit had been explosion at ICI did I panic :err: .
Didnt know where he had gone and often goes to ICI.
What a relief when I phoned him and he answered his phone :!:

was with my girlfrienhd asleep and we both thought it was a plane
that was in boro

I live in billingham, my house is about 2.5 miles away across a field and my house shook like mad!!!!!!!

wot happened if this went missing and into alot of bottles for cars to go faster :P
